Overhead Door Company of Bellingham was founded by Larry Erickson in 1956. Mr. Erickson was a local builder and wanted to start a business of his own and liked the concept of the garage door business. Del Gilliam purchased the business from Mr. Erickson in 1978 after serving as a door installer and later a business manager for Larry since the founding of the business.
Terry and Gary Gilliam, sons of Del Gilliam purchased purchased the door business from their father in August 1992. Terry had worked for his father and Larry Erickson since 1972, Gary started working with the company in 1976.
Jack D. Johnson, Brother in Law to Terry and Gary Gilliam purchased Overhead Door Co of Bellingham in July 1998. Gary Gilliam was co-owner with Jack until his sudden death in Dec. 1999. Jack is still current owner to date. Overhead Door Co of Bellingham has always been family and locally owned and has maintained it's quality and excellent service since 1956.
